DO NOT GET FIREWOOD FROM THESE PEOPLE! CALL RTK FIREWOOD @ 3512 W Lutz Lake Fern Rd (727-432-1519) for very friendly service, excellent prices and quality firewood that burns properly! They also add extra firewood, over and above what is paid for, and are clearly appreciative for the business.

I've spent about $2k on firewood, mulch and plants over the last two years with William Nursery & Sod Inc, and each and every time I've been dealt with indifferently, as if they really couldn't care less if I was there or not. The service has always been horrible, though I've seen them roll out the red carpet for Spanish speaking customer.

As far as firewood goes, they seem to be making up prices as they go, selling nasty, odd-shaped, bug-filled, unseasoned wood that takes forever to get burning. About half of the pieces they provide are undersized. And to make things worse, the price has gone up three times in two months, like they're selling a rare commodity.

I asked why the price increased the first time, and the extremely rude women in the office said "It hasn't gone up. Same price since November of 2024." NOT. but not worth debating. FYI pricing for me the last three trips were as follows; 30 for $25 in Mid January, $25 for $25 in early February and $8 for $10 today, (02-25-25) which I declined.

After finding out about the latest increase today (02-25-24), I asked why and a younger guy there said "We can't help it they keep raising the price for on us." Again... NOT. No way they're buying firewood, and if they are moronic enough to do so, whoever is running the company is not good at there job, considering every other firewood supplier gets there wood free from the tree trimmers that would rather unload it for free than pay to dump it.

I can get plants, firewood, mulch, rock, etc., from at least 100 different Tampa area locations that will value my business... the money I gave William Nursery and Sod in mid February is the last they'll ever see from me.

I have been dealing with this company for about 10 years and they are absolutely awesome. I beg to differ from the comments left on the previous review. How can someone be so offensive on if they have acne or their face or if they are short or fat. That's so horrible to say.
The blonde young girl has a great personality, and she is learning from her family. The older blonde who is one of the owners and the aunt of the younger young lady has a great funny real up-front personality.
If you speak to them, they will tell you their story and how the older gentleman who is almost always in the recliner in the office or on the golf cart is the dad and is older and not doing so well.
Also being a family-owned business, they can close shop at any time they want.
Why be so nasty how would you feel if you are busting your butt all day long with all types of different people coming into the business and all the sudden you are coming 5 minutes before they close. You got to be kidding me. I would have closed the business and left you outside.
Anyways they have great variety of plants, mulch and rock. The prices are great, I have sat there and compared them to several companies including Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot and by far William Nursery has had the better price and in occasions I have spoken to the other owners, and they also have great personalities.
I will continue going to this Nursery and they will always have my business. Thank you

I finally found all the plants I needed at a price I can afford in one place.. The plants are all very healthy, groomed appropriately, no weeds in the pot. The staff are all knowledgeable and helpful. I had questions about drought tolerance, cold tolerance and rate of growth. Lilly made suggestions for a better landscape because she knows what my plant choices are going to look like large as well as freshly planted.

I was pleased to find 1 gallon size plants as well as selections in larger containers.

I was able to make my hardscape choices and have them delivered. It’s better than me renting a truck just to haul mulch by myself TWICE!

I was even able to pick up a few pieces of sod to cover my raw areas in my lawn.

I will give Lilly and William Nursery a five star, A+, no need to ever shop anywhere else rating.

I understand that my review of Williams Nursery may upset or trigger individuals reading it. I know it's important to approach the situation with professionalism and constructive criticism. Im an educated rational adult that should be able to construct a review without offensive language and personal attacks. However, I'm human- flawed and imperfect. My experience with Williams Nursery has steered me to antics one may not deem as effective communication. That being said, the owner of this nursery is a fat c-u- n3xt- Tuesday. And her daughter doesnt fall too far from the tree either.

This company came highly recommended to us for their high quality local sod.... and BOY was that ever the truth!!!!! We had a wonderful experience with them! Alejandro, Lilly and Angel were SO helpful!!!! Our install was delayed due to the summer rain, but they kept in contact with us throughout. The sod installers worked very hard (non-stop) and did an excellent job! The sod is high quality with deep roots! They gave us great instructions for taking care of it. We are SO happy with the quality of the sod and the GREAT customer service!!!!!

I got a pallet of Floratam sod from this facility a month ago. Every piece looked very good; fresh, green, and thick. We utilized every single piece on the same day and next day. Nothing died at all withing this month. I am very pleased with the quality. I always do my buying relying on people's reviews and appreciate all other opinions. I will definitely go back for some other plants as we are rebuilding our front yard landscaping.
