I love this place, great prices, produce and people but I hate that they don't post or put on Here when they aren't gonna be open I have often drive 35 mins to go do my produce run and them not be open like today.

Stopped here just to stretch from a long ride. Cannot stress that if your in the area, stop by!!! Ended up walking away with a variety of fresh baked bread and a sack of the best and biggest grapes I have had in awhile. Local honey, chow chow, kiwi, mangos and persimmons! Lots of fruit and veggies. Eggs and jellies. But the bread! We got the blueberry, strawberry cream and banana nut. Now I wished I bought 2 of each. Stop by and show this place some love!

Yesterday while buying my veggies and fruits I picked up a bag of unsalted peanuts for my dog. At check out I told them how much I love peanuts, and that peanuts are a great source of protein and good for both my dog and myself. 🤣🤣🤣
I shared with them that every night my dog and I eat peanuts but she doesn’t get the salted ones and then I realized that I was singing to the choir. As I said “Lovely Ladies” and an awesome place to buy fresh produce and peanuts 🥜.

Such a sweet family runs this place. I always get their Cajun peanuts when they are in season and one of their pickled produce (this time green beans). There is also Nettles sausage which we just devoured for dinner. My wife gets a lot of our fruits and vegetables here.

This farm is a namesake farm. I know relation to the owners. You always have been in this wonderful Nation for multiple generations. I'm first generation. I actually stopped to pick up peanuts, but they were closed. So I stopped and took pictures, and Jerry waved me over. I had a nice conversation about the farm, what they produce (multiple products), when they produce it and the owners. I'll have to stop by doing normal business hours to meet them someday. I had bought peanuts on a different trip through the area. Throughout the past of the farm is the shortcut from 75 to 301 and interstate 10 on the way to 95.

To respond to comments about grocery stores, please note the difference between raw and green. Both would are uncooked but raw peanuts in a grocery would be washed, sorted and dried so as to keep on a shelf longer than fresh green peanuts. What I forgot about from my childhood when buying a bushel of green peanuts was they are not shelf stable. They are fresh. Wash, rinse and sort. They are wet and all bundled together and not suitable for storage. Anything I don’t boil the same day gets laid out on canvas or even towels to dry a bit in the sun so they can be cooked up a few days later.

You know I trusted this place of selling good fresh natural farm produce but I’m sorry to tell you 90% GMO I will rather pay more for good food than to pay for food created in a laboratory

Every week, I get my fresh produce from this spot. I'm thrilled that the Waldron family has launched their farmers market right here in Citra. Having been raised near the Oxford area, I recall the beginnings of Brown & Brown Farms and Country Store in a similar manner. I am eager to witness the growth of their business!
