Great experience! It was a lot of fun getting to go out and buy my compost from the actual farm, almost like a UPick farm to table type of experience. The owners were very nice and really took the time to explain everything to me. They even gave me an extra free sample because I told them I had never used compost for gardening before.
So here is the important part.....I bought the compost 1 month ago because I had just bought two 3 foot tall trees online and when they came they were much more sticklike than the picture had made me think they were going to be. Needless to say I was very upset and that is why I bought the compost in the first place.
I wanted to see if there was anything to the whole idea of compost as a fertilizer so I only put it on one of the trees. Heres the thing, the one I put it on has started growing like crazy! In just a month it has far more leaves and has grown taller than the tree I didn't put the compost on.
I will most definitely be a repeat customer! And definitely recommend cavalli creek compost to anyone looking for a good chemical free fertilizer alternative.
