My experience with Shear Perfection was great. Chad and his team were easy to work with and they took care to address my concerns about an existing water supply line. They were working in an area packed with tree roots & utilities, and PG&E used too much paint while marking. Romero and his crew cleaned it all up going the extra mile to make the project right. The concrete work is exceptional. I highly recommend Shear Perfection.

Shortly after the first job, I contacted Shear Perfection about replacing a plugged and broken landscape drain located underneath a sidewalk. Other companies wouldn’t touch it, but Chad and his crew tackled the job exceeding my expectations by avoiding a sidewalk replacement!

We hired them after a short conversation while we were living in NC, preparing to move to CA. They did all our landscaping work based on telephone and email conversations. Couldn't ask for a more cooperative and affective company to work with. The owners wife actually went and purchased 3 large ceramic pots, emailed me options and bought the ones we chose. How's that for service We requested a huge aggregate cement patio and it was done to perfection.....this photo is a bit premature because they will come back and power wash it before sealing. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure working with Shear Perfection! It started with the simple fact that they returned our phone call promptly. That is not a given in this day and age. They scheduled a consultation, showed up on time, and had great insight on what we were trying to accomplish. We got several bids and they won it based not on price (they were not the least expensive) but on all of the above. Work was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. The gentleman who did the work were extremely professional, took pride in their work, and also had some great suggestions along the way. When the job was over, you couldn’t tell that they had been there. I also need to mention that the communication during the project was excellent, all work changes were seamless and consistent. We are extremely happy with the end result and will definitely use them again!

I am thrilled with the work that Shear Perfection Landscaping did on both my front and back yard!

After meeting and being impressed by Andrea, their admin, at a recent Home and Garden show, I scheduled a consultation with Chad, the owner. Chad was friendly, professional, had exceptional working knowledge, explained things perfectly, and listened to my goals (so important!). He immediately understood what I wanted to do with both yards, offering wonderful suggestions based on his years of experience. The quote I received was great, covering everything Chad and I had discussed. They were able to get me on their schedule right away.

The team that came out and performed the work (Romeo, Luke, Roberto and Caesar) were exceptional. Always friendly, professional, willing to answer my many questions (lol!), and their work product was perfect. Andrea was a fantastic Admin. She kept all the paperwork and communication flowing, and was a wonderful resource when I had questions. Chad was great – onsite and present often, providing information and ensuring that I was happy with the progress.

The project included: demoing the bark, patio and existing fountain; removing plants; replacing old drip and lighting lines; replacing irrigation valves and solenoids; finishing all beds with lava rock; pouring approx (1000) sq ft of concrete – 2 color stamped pattern; installing a header board along a property line; and building a mini retaining wall along the sidewalk.

They cleaned up everything when they were finished, it was spotless. The work done was exactly as we discussed and I am so pleased. They will be coming back out to seal the concrete after it is done curing.

Based on my wonderful experience with them I highly recommend Shear Perfection Landscaping. I will absolutely be working with them again when I have future landscaping needs.

Last year, I hired Shear Perfection to replace a wood retaining wall that came with the house I inherited from my mom. The old wall had been there for years and was dilapidated. Shear Perfection found the materials (wood was hard to get because of supply problems at the Ports), and they efficiently removed the old wall and replaced it with a beautiful new retaining wall that fit the rest of the yard's landscaping. Their guys were courteous, fast, and clean, and they re-secured some of my dad's old wooden, hand-built items on the slope so I could keep looking at those while remembering my folks. Because of the great job Shear Perfection did with the retaining wall, this year I re-hired them to put topsoil on the slope, which had never been done (many of the plants' roots were exposed), and to install a better drainage system in the backyard. Because of drought and other extreme weather events here lately (including torrential rains), innovations have had be made, and Shear Perfection really knows how to make them. They talked to me about future improvements (drought-tolerant plants, a drip water system, installation of additional drainage lines, when I can afford it), and I'm making plans to follow through. Shear Perfection personnel are attentive and careful with the details, and they know what they're doing. Chad, the owner, is a great guy. I really like this family-owned business, and highly recommend them.
