Mr. Trowbridge, the current HOA manager, had a lien against his property for violations. When he became HOA manager, that lien disappeared. His buddy, Marcial Torres, uses the Plantation athletic fields free of charge for his private soccer league. Normally, the soccer league is supposed to pay the association. No wonder there are overgrown trees and broken communal property everywhere! The attorney for the association, Friscia is using the HOA as a profit making machine, suing over 10 property owners in the last couple years. It's all a money making cabal at the expense of the residents. The Community needs to stand up and get a non-corrupt board elected.

Can’t speak on any HOA problems that are going on and how dues are used but how does this place have so much space, way more than used, for soccer fields and no dog park? Not even a fraction fenced off for dogs to run around when there is plenty space for one. It’s a shame I have to take my dog to another nearby community for that. Courtesy officers, or whatever the title is, are pretty ineffective as well for when nearby neighbors are being extremely loud with parties at all hours of the night. I usually just have to call the non emergency line so not sure why we have them. The community is alright but has its share of issues like any other.

Great community to live in and have completed many successful transactions here before (I'm a realtor). Unfortunately, this go around wasn't as pleasant due to an HOA violation that was in fact, not a violation. When questions were asked, the HOA could not provide any answer and changed course many times as to what the violation specifically was. Our communications ended once Ron Trowbridge "HOA Manager" emailed with a very vague response and could not properly source the community documents where said rules were supposedly stated. Plantation is a wonderful community to live in but I hope you do not have the same experience with Ron as I did, he certainly will not help!

Fairly nice community in a good location. Parking is a nightmare though. They are all older homes with tiny or non-existent garages. The original driveways are all narrow and pretty short, leaving barely enough room for 2 cars. The 2nd car usually has their bumper hanging out into the street.
The HOA dues are used for little more than the community parks' upkeep. They are pretty nice parks though. I'd use them more if they had an off-leash dog park, as I don't have any kids.
I try to avoid having to go into the office because of my experience with the staff over the last 4 years. My last visit was just dropping off a form. I had a smile on my face as I said good morning and tried to hand over my form. I was met with attitude right off the bat. It was almost 9:10AM, the office opens at 9, and I was told that they aren't open yet. I apologized for being early and laid my form on the desk.
The HOA is also very unresponsive. I've been waiting almost a month for a response in regards to proposed improvements to the exterior of my home, and this morning I called to get a status update. I was told that the director stepped out and he would call me once he got back. That was about 6 hours ago and the office closes in about 15 minutes... and it's Friday. My last 3 requests also got swept under the rug with no response from them. But oh! If you park on the grass! You'll hear from them within the week.

worse place ever, ive spent over $30k on the exterior of the property to make not only my place but also the community to look better within 2 years, brand new brick driveway, brand new garage doors, new gutters, new front door new windows,new sod,new fence, only thing left was paint, anybody with a little common sense knows painting isnt the first step when fixing a property so they hit me with a $1228 fine for not having my house painted, even tho its the better looking house on the block, came there once to get a pool key with my 6 year old and was told i could not take my son to the pool because my house isnt painted, so i went to the office and they told me soon as the house is painted i can file a fee waiver form and they would remove the fee, so did all that and they sent me a letter saying my request have been rejected, that was the end for me. wish i could give 0 star.

Great new clubhouse and great place to live. Has everything to offer for growing families with low hoa fees. 2 pools, tennis, basketball, racquetball courts, sand volleyball, baseball field, soccer fields and playgrounds for kids. Also offers lots of community activities i.e. Easter egg hunt, Halloween bash, back to school bash, community planned yard sales, and lots of outdoor sports events/leagues.

Very nice place with 2 big rooms available to rent and each room has a small kitchen. The staff was helpful and informative as well.
