My boyfriend and I only intended on living at this property for a year, however that quickly turned into three! Florida Garden Apartments were quiet, well kept, conveniently located to shops/beach, and fairly priced. Reading the other reviews compelled me to write an honest review. We had an entirely pleasant experience! Mira, the on-site manager is, by far, the kindest, sweetest, most accommodating landlords that I have ever experienced in my many years of renting throughout LA and Orange County. She was helpful and accommodating. Several tenants have been there long term, and that is a very good sign of great management. If we weren’t moving out of state, we would have definitely stayed.

I had to move out due to problem with possums in crawl area above apartment that was only getting worse and could not solve it after months of trying to, so asked to break lease and they allowed without any penalty or notice needed, but then when time came for deposit back was charges for carpet cleaning and window cleaning. We were informed when moving out that they were replacing carpet and remodeling apartment since I lived there for almost eight years with no improvements done at all the whole time I was there. So why a carpet cleaning charge and window cleaning charge is unknown and they will not return this part of deposit even though moved out for reason out of our control that they could not correct in timely manner. The last note was received a notice just before we asked to be allowed to move out that they were increasing rent for everyone, and yet nightly for months being awaken to noise in attic crawl area from the possums. Was nice to move and finally have a night of good sleep for once.

I've been a resident for a year now, and I'm very pleased to have found this community. The things at Florida Gardens which appealed to me most when I was apartment hunting: quiet, pet-friendly, and no additional monthly fees. Unlike many other complexes, the rent at Florida Gardens includes utilities and no monthly pet rent for my cat. This impressed me in comparison to places which tack on additional fees for parking and trash disposal.

Mira, the apartment manager, lives on-site and takes pride in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. She has been very prompt and helpful whenever I've reached out to her. I hope to remain a resident at Florida Gardens for some time!

My wife and I have happily lived here for 9 years, and are leaving now only because we purchased our first home. It is truly bittersweet because we have LOVED living here. It is such a great community with quiet and respectful neighbors, useful amenities, and ample storage. We feel safe/secure in the gated community, and Terry (the onsite handyman) is friendly and quickly repairs misc. items. Mira, the onsite property manager, has been exceptional - always responsive and attentive to our needs and the needs of the community.

This 60+ unit apartment complex is on a super quiet street (mostly retirement communities) and is centrally located in Huntington Beach. Five Points Plaza is literally half a block away with a bunch of amenities, including Trader Joe's, banking with BoFa and Chase, dry cleaning, retail shops, and local restaurants. There's also In-n-out, car wash, auto repair, and tons of other items less than 0.5 miles away. The 405 is easily-accessible (8 min drive) without being too close for traffic congestion. The beach is a 2.5 mile bike ride away down scenic Main St.

The apartment complex is not brand new so if you're looking for brand-new everything and are OK paying sky-high rent, then this is not the place for you. If you're OK with a little older, but well taken care of and recently updated with reasonable rent in a stellar place, then I highly recommend Florida Gardens!

This is an awesome apartment complex, with even better staff. The property manager was an absolute pleasure to work with! She is very lovely and really cares about the tenants. I had a wonderful experience and wish I could have had more time there. If you're looking for a quiet, quant, and clean place with good people, this is the spot.

This apartment building had issue in crawl space between roof and or apartment with possum and/or raccoon. Understand that this does happen and they were trying to correct so we were okay with, and the manager onsite apologized and informed us and our neighbors of the steps taken to try to solve this issue (this was sent by email which I can provide). But after sleepless nights and never able to solve issue for eight months, we could not deal anymore with hearing them in wall and ceiling scratching as they go out at night and back in the morning. Numerous times we heard them pull on electrical wires in walls. I have documentation(emails, recordings, video to stand by review, and if request can share with whomever) not just some disgruntled tenant who didn't get deposit back, because received all of deposit back with exception of carpet cleaning fee.
The onsite manager had approved us to break lease due to possible health concerns that we had brought and manager stated we would not be penalized due to the issues they with possums above our apartment. They never offered any concessions or reduced rent during the eight months of not being able to sleep through night because of the noise of possums in wall and ceilings in apartment. We would not have moved if they got this under control, but they could not. Our neighbors on one side had already moved, and so we were able to find a place and move within two weeks. We had asked if possible to expedite refunding our deposit back to us so that we could use this towards new deposit/rent we were having come up with that was unplanned for and they refused request and actually waited to mail it out on last day by CA law.

The property manager we had at this place is biased with her tenants. Her professionalism is not fooling anyone. Their contract imposed ridiculous.charges for cleaning and repairs.

My personal opinion based on how she handled.our case, her racial bias was very apparent. We appreciated the place but glad we're out of there.
