Please Like & Share our reviews! Wheelchair accessible with sandy terrain challenges. This local gem of a mushroom farm is new and growing EXPONENTIALLY. The owners began growing out of their own desire to supply lion's mane for their personal health & well-being. After traveling as far as 2 hours round trip to Orlando for fresh shrooms, they decided to give mushroom harvesting at home a try. Once they developed their lab and growing system, they found themselves with extra harvests and decided to sell the surplus. The surplus covered their cost for personal consumption. HOWEVER, a new problem had ensued - more and more demand. They sold out time & time again and thus Flagler Fungi became a full fledged WHAREHOUSE location run by some of the most endearing folks in sunny Florida. They grow their shrooms in a gluten-free block base and only do 2 full harvests per block. They could easily do 3-5 runs but they only harvest top quality output.
In their grow rooms they currently have Lion's Mane mushrooms primarily, Pink, Elm, Aspen and Florida Oyster mushrooms.
They recently expanded into selling dried mushroom powder and capsule kits as well. They yield whole dried mushrooms for soups and other yummy recipes if that is something you're after. (They have a much longer shelf life.)
They do NOT currently have folks do pickups at the wharehouse location. To pick up orders in person, you'll have to visit the owners at their Flagler's Farmer Market stand every Sat am from 9am-1pm located @ 315 S 7th St, Flagler Beach, FL.
To order online you can contact them through their Facebook Page : Flagler Fungi.
Delivery service for orders over 1lb is available & they also have an amazon link for orders shipped directly to your home : https://a.co/d/6effbAj
(*They have the most cleanest lion's mane. They do not let it over-ripen and go yellow like many other shroom farmers do.)
We are not paid to promote this business but we promote with our review because we have met and interacted with the MacDonald's as growers for several months and have had several tours of their lab, grow chamber & have purchased product for our fam.
They provide several of us, who grow food forests, with their leftover mycellium harvest blocks to use as compost. By doing so, they eliminate biodegradable waste from going to the landfills & help us avoid having to spray chemicals for growing the best, healthiest greens, fruit trees & veggies.
Be sure to support this local business.
