Fielding Lake has many recreational opportunities to offer. The campground along the outlet of the lake is charming and wildlife viewing is good here. The outlet stream and lake have good fishing for Arctic grayling and an occasional lake trout. The hills surrounding the lake are easy to negotiate and have grand vistas of the surrounding area. Since Fielding Lake is high in altitude and alpine in nature, summer comes late and winter early here. Snowfall in the mountains can be amazingly deep, and snowmachiners delight in it. Years ago our family came down to Fielding Lake on January first, rented the State cabin, and engaged in a game of Ice Croquet on new year's day. The campground is two miles from the Richardson Highway, and you would have to walk to use a snow machine to get into the lake, no road maintenance in the winter.

Not as large as Lake Summitt, but a nice hidden away area. Boat ramps to launch boats, decent amount of parking. I am very sure that the landscape is beautiful if viewing standing on a boat. I didn't have a boat so it is just an assumption so just go along with it.

Remote! (For most peopele). Small, no service camp ground right on the river. I love it up there. It is at tree level in the mountains. Several glaciers are visible from the lake.
