I love this park and come here daily. Unfortunately today was the last straw and i need to mention that the security guard Michael, while a lovely and kind man, does not need to follow people around just to talk to them about their dog. He is very kind and well meaning enough but not everyone has time to talk about dogs for 45 minutes. He gave my dog treats once which was also very very sweet, but my dog had a terrible allergic reaction that cost me a lot of money in vet bills. I don't blame him bc I should've refused but it still caused problems. I now have to run to my car or take alternate routes to avoid him and I'm not the only person that does this, i have a friend who also has had to take extra steps to avoid him. This morning not only did he follow me to my car, but honked at me several times while I was driving away. Thinking maybe I dropped something to give him the benefit of the doubt, but nope, nothing dropped, so why would he do this? I wish him all the best and harbor no anger towards him but he needs to understand that when youre approaching a woman that is alone at the park and you are a man following and honking them, this is borderline harassment, even if his intention is well meaning.

The museum was closed on the weekend. Would have loved to see it inside. The Iris garden was interesting, as there were flowers awarded in the 1600's to 1800's! Walking trails were nice.

My family loves visiting here when the seasons change. It's a magical place during Fall with an array of colorful leaves and trees. During Spring, the blooms are a sight to see. The magnolia trees with it's beautiful flower blossoms are gorgeous. Overall, it is a great place to go for walks, hang out with friends and have picnics under the gazebo. Very scenic for photos as well.
