Short: Our “screened” top soil delivery was $300. It has glass, knives, and rocks. We were refunded $150. If you go to a restaurant and receive a burger with glass in it, do you still have to pay for half of it?

The delivery driver mentioned issues with delivery quality as he was dumping onto our driveway. The first day we find knives, glass, large rocks, sticks. We called reporting an issue and were told it would be totally resolved. The lady was very nice on that first call. Then, after conversing about refunds, the only choices from the company was to get a whole other load dumped in our driveway (but they won’t pick up the old one) or to get half a refund…..
Since we didn’t need a whole other load of dirt dumped especially considering the quality AND that we had to move this dirt anyways since no one would pick it up, we decided to take the refund. Unfortunately I paid in cash so had no leverage with credit card chargebacks etc. they did not deliver the product we paid for.

We had to go to the store and buy tools costing ~ $40 to screen the dirt ourselves. The one day project turned into several weekends long with the whole family having to screen out the unsafe glass (this was going into our yard where a toddler and dog run around…)

We tried to remedy the situation by asking for a complimentary (equal value - $300) delivery of sod or a full refund since the product was unsellable but they would not agree.

This would not have been something I would post about if we only had little rocks or sticks etc. The glass was a true safety issue and a huge pain to have in our driveway for weeks while we strained it out piece by piece. We still are finding pieces and my toddler even got some stuck in her foot.

More pictures of the stuff we found just looking at the load that first day. We have MULTIPLE TRASHCANS FULL of rocks and glass that we cannot dispose of. We have to sort it for dumping since trash companies won’t even pick up rocks in the trash.

Also would not have been upset if they would have picked up the load and just refunded the whole thing. I wish we never ordered from here.

I got a pallet of Seville sod. It was high quality! Delivered right on time. Have always been very pleased with the service and quality from Cypress Mulch & Sod!!

I needed white 🪨. I was going to get paver base, and she suggested the heavy duty linner. I was very please because I saved much in doing it that way. Thank you for your assistance.

Cypress Mulch and Sod is a fantastic company to do business with. The work they do is true physical labor and very demanding. Ron sincerely does his best to give his clients what they want at the most reasonable price possible. They go way above and beyond in pleasing their clients. They also repurposed items to help me save money and the resulting walkway turned out better and more safe than I could ever have imagined. Ron and Louis made my landscaping beautiful and healthy and I could not be happier with the results. I intend to have them come back as soon as possible to landscape other parts of my yard. Kelly was also extremely pleasant to deal with on the phone as well. I highly recommend this company to anybody with landscaping needs.

Good friendly staff. Had some sand mixed in with my load (Dump truck driver didn't clean his bed between loads) and they made it right with me. Second time using them for big projects (multiple truck loads) and both times great service. Recommended!
