I am a 64 year old female with lots of medical disabilities! As of September, I did an online application right at your site, a few weeks later, I did get a call from Ms Glandora Brown. She had me to come in to submit all of the needed documents to complete application. The month was almost over,and I still hadn't been assigned a worker. After numerous phone calls, I finally received a call from a worker name Francisco. Now, I am in the month of October, going into November, and still hadn't gotten a decision. Now, today I received a final notice, called for my worker, and got the answering machine stating that he would not be in the office until November 4 th. I can get no assistance on what is going on with my application. I was told that it was closed, without any notifications, and I had done complied with the program. I am on the medical Essential Program due to me being on oxygen 24/7, because of COPD and, severe asthma. I have been hospitalized 7 times so far this year! I feel like I have been given a raw deal, and being a retired Case Manager getting women from welfare to work, and I was very dedicated to my clients. This is very unacceptable!

This agency does everything in their power to deny certain citizens of Broward County Assistance, especially if you are from
Miami-Dade County. . I have never experienced so much unfair and unethical behavior from so called government employees in my life. Whoever manages, directs, and control these programs that are put in place to assist low income working families needs to be investigated. It is awful how people are loosing jobs in south Florida (An At Will State) and these programs are unfairly delaying and denying people assistance, but advertise they are here to help when they really are not. From my experience they pick and choose who they are going to assist.

I contacted a certain commissioner in my area and the mayor; neither one of them responded. Broward county is the only county that changes their mayors every year. I wonder why?
I have been living in south Florida all my life and Broward County is one place I never wanted live in, unfortunately Miami-Dade is over crowded and most jobs require that you speak Spanish. How fair is that. South Florida is a hot and cold ness at the same time.

Horrible services.. No customer service with this office at all . Office is suppose to open at 8:30 am it is now 8:39 am . Employees strolling in late not even a good morning to the people.. 8:40 am security comes out to see if we everyone had applications . The first person is called at 8:41 am.. The employees that are here just looking at a line of 10 people waiting to drop off applications and no one even has the courtesy of addressing the line to let us know that there is a delay. I guess this is what happens when one get comfortable working for the county. No regard for anyone else time at all …

I have been calling all morning, on my 6 call finally got through after being on hold for 15 minutes. Lady didn't even Identified herself, speaking over me as I am trying to ask which program would be best for me to apply and to see if she can assist me through the phone as I was on the computer and page already. Gave me a few instructions with attitude and hung up. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE !

Incredible organization. My case manger Ms. Jessica Sanders has been one of the reasons I've been able to provide an appropriate home for my 5 children as a single father. Our family is eternally grateful.

Do not waste your time here if you really need help. The rental assistance program is non helpful. I went through orientation, had all documentation needed,me and my child are facing homeless and this place was not helpful at all.

This place is a pure joke! Needs to be shut down. They ask all the same questions over and over. I guess to see if you're lying. You bring in all the necessary documents and still no help for needy families. Where is the funding going to? The workers or community. Sad times
