The Sacramento BrightView Landscape Capital Projects team executed a property-wide total reinvention of our Sacramento property. We had completed a Re-Pipe project, and had to put the landscape back together in a quick timeframe.

The project involved installing all new drip systems to support all new decorative drought tolerant flowering plants, many large new trees, re-grading of several areas, removing extensive grass areas to replace with the drip installations, and then re-seeding a few new grass areas. The project was completed quickly and beautifully, at very fair pricing and without change orders. We were offered as many planning walks to prioritize funds as we needed, and in-process quality walks as we required. The quantity and quality of the plants was exactly as planned and even more beautiful and well executed than we imagined. The new grass areas grew from seed to become flourishing bright green new amenity spaces.

Miguel was absolutely key to this project’s success. We request to work with Miguel on any Capital Landscape project. He also has a great leadership team who supported his process and our needs, such as Prince who has also been terrific. The project completely reinvented our leasing ability and our marketing value. We were also able to remove over 300 sprinklers now replaced with high quality, durable drip lines. Brightview has become our favored Landscape vendor for all of our properties.

Miguel of BrightView also completed a Beautiful, unparalleled quality new large Dog Park amenity with many detailed components, as a turn-key/ everything included project, and design-build. And now the company is preparing to install another large-scale amenity project for us, with undisclosed title at this time.

BrightView has taken over monthly maintenance and moved on to add the same for our Vallejo property, and they’ve done an excellent job.

The Sacramento team, and Miguel, offer a Huge value along with their talent, problem solving abilities, great communication and dedication. I am truly grateful to have found this amazing company to improve the properties in my portfolio. We expect to add them to many more of our assets throughout California, all due to this wonderful initial capital project in Sacramento, which launched this new fantastic vendor relationship. I live at Kensington apartments in sacramento. These guys are lousy. They destroy everything on your patios with their leaf blowers. They knock all my plants over destroy everything blowing it around. They don't watch what they are doing. They don't correct a mistake. They blast right thru people's property without caring. They are rude inconsiderate disrespectful. I had problems with that a few times. When I tell them they say okay but then when they are with the others after that they mock and laugh about you. Other residents complain about them also. They need to blow leaves outward away from the buildings. They need to stay away from people's patio with those blowers. Be mindful of the people that live here.

My HOA in Elk Grove recently switched landscaping service to BrightView. I planted 2 arborvitae shrubs seven years ago (with a replacement value of $500-$700 each) to flank my garage door. This was my first home of my own and it really needed a lot of TLC to bring it back from deprivation. I wanted my new home to standout amongst the mediocrity of other homes in the neighborhood with their boring boxy privet landscaping. Yesterday the lead gardener decided to turn my beautiful mature conical shaped arborvitae into a Gorden’s fish stick. It was sickening to see what he had done. I couldn’t believe someone would come to my house and butcher my landscaping in such a manner. Shows a abundance of poor judgment and lack of expertise in his profession.
Update: A month has gone by and BrightView hasn’t bothered to contact me to at least offer assurances that this type of fiasco won’t happen again.

Reside in apartment. This company is contracted with the apartments I reside in. The guys will cuts the grass and blow all the debris onto the cars and back into the grass. They do not rake or have the debris in piles to pick up I have multiple videos proving and showing that they do these things when you asked for them not To blow the debris on the cars or back into the grass, they are quick to throw that don’t speak English card. However I’m stuck with them so I will complain every Week because it becomes an inconvenience for me when I have to clean off my balcony once the debris blows around. I don’t even team the bushes I can post pictures of the bushes in front of my unit that is dried out dead and week by week there ignored.Will not recommend this company.
